CAA Observations

The Association's observing season is from October to March - observing will only take place if skies are clear. There are three observing sessions per week:

Tuesdays:

At Wentworth Observatory (near Ely). This has a 14" Dobsonian Reflector and a 10" Equatorial Reflector. Observing starts at 8.00 pm. To find out if observing is on, please ring Peter Ingram 01353 661734. Barry Crellin will be available to guide you around the night sky. If you wish to help him, please contact him on 01223 426498.

Wednesdays:

At the Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road, Cambridge. This is the Public Observing Session run in conjunction with the IoA. Observing starts at 8.00pm. To see if observing is on, please ring the Institute after 5.00pm on 01223 337548 and listen to the recorded message.

Thursdays:

This session is a chance for members to take images with the Three Mirror Telescope (3MT). Instruction will be given on how to use this unique telescope and how to process the images. Jonathon Irwin will be on hand to demonstrate the 3MT. The sessions start at 8.00 pm Contact Chris Traher on 07778917120
